The 302 pressure gauge buffer tube, also known as the pressure gauge bend or condenser tube, is a fitting used to connect the pressure gauge with the equipment or pipeline measured by the pressure gauge. It is used to buffer the instantaneous impact of the measured medium on the pressure gauge spring tube and reduce the temperature of the measured medium. It is a device for protecting the pressure gauge.

Gauge bends (also known as buffer, condenser, or siphons) are primarily used in pressure gauge applications to protect the gauge from media shocks and high temperatures, thereby extending its service life and ensuring accurate measurements. Its main applications include:
Buffer impact: when the measured medium has instantaneous pressure fluctuation or impact, the meter bend can absorb and disperse these impact forces through its bending shape and the "water column" or "steam condensate" formed by the medium in the pipe to avoid direct damage to the internal mechanical structure or sensor of the pressure gauge.
Reduce the medium temperature: for high-temperature medium (such as steam), the gauge bend will condense it before entering the pressure gauge, forming a layer of water or isolating liquid, reducing the medium temperature entering the pressure gauge and preventing the superheated medium from damaging the pressure gauge.
Equipment safety protection: through buffering and cooling, the gauge bend can effectively protect the pressure gauge from failure due to improper medium, so as to avoid huge losses and safety hazards caused by pressure gauge failure.
Applicable to various media and scenarios: meter elbow is applicable to measuring high-temperature steam, condensable hot gas and other media that may cause transient impact. For example, the application of meter bend can be seen in the fire pump outlet pipe, oil pipe, thermal pipe network and other systems
